This work, constructed of clear acrylic, reveals its two sides simultaneously. The punctuated, sharp nails reveal the structure of the curvilinear form, creating an almost spine-like pattern. Seen as a metaphor, the smooth material speaks to the sense of perfection that many people try to portray in their lives, which often covers the hardship and struggle that punctuates the human experience.
