Toilet paper and tube
This work, created from discarded toilet paper rolls, depicts a clock face without hands. During the pandemic, many people have described an uncanny shift in the way they experience time-- a sense that hours and days are marked differently outside of our normal routines.
Timeless/Time Less can refer to this COVID-era experience of time as a kind of malaise, but it also refers to the idea of time running out--on both an individual and a societal level. On my mind in the creation of this work was the image of the gray horse found in Revelation 6:8, a harbinger of the end of the world.
