One of the more literal works in the series, Quiet Waiting derives its form from the text of Isaiah 40:31, which states that “they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” I manipulated the found form of the driftwood to enhance its bird-like qualities. The figures are subtle but powerful, and the title references my artistic process
