In Hope a delicate resin flower extends vertically into the air and is grounded by hefty wire that shoots out of the bottom like roots. This wire is twisted into a slightly abstracted version of the ancient Chinese character for hope. Just as the word hope grounds the fragile flower, so too does hope ground us.
