Forged from a torched tree trunk and a porcelain cast air plant, From the Ashes is an artwork that brings to light the beauty we leave behind. The air plant and the tree trunk have both died. Though inclusion in this artwork does not bring them back to life, it does highlight the beauty they left in the world and allow it to carry on.
